A privacy policy covering Australian health-adjacent data needs to be drafted or reviewed by someone qualified to do it, so there is no placeholder text standing in for one here. What is already settled
- Compute, database, documents, backups and logs run in Azure Australia East. Backups are zone-redundant within the region and do not leave it.
- Email is sent through Azure Communication Services with its data location set to Australia, from a domain AudiologyMate owns and verifies.
- SMS is currently delivered through a provider whose default region is the United States. Moving it onshore is a known, tracked item and is not yet done.
- Card payments go to Stripe and Square, which are United States providers. Only tokens, amounts and invoice references cross that boundary — never clinical data.
